Parent Portal

Dear Parents:

As you may know, we are transitioning to an electronic gradebook this year so if you do not see grades for your student, please be patient. We continue to work through some challenges with the transition to the new system and all grades will soon be posted. Please contact your teacher directly for an update on your child's progress.

Thank you.

DCES is committed to staying healthy and here is a little example of our students and staff making healthy plans.
RIDING THE SCHOOL BUS IS A PRIVILEGE

The Code of Virginia, Section 22.1-176, permits school boards to provide transportation for pupils, BUT does not require them to do so. Riding the PWCS school buses to and from school IS A PRIVILEGE. Students need to follow all school bus rules & regulations, as stated in the 2011-2012 Code of Behavior. Should a student be reported to administration, administration will be responsible for disciplinary action, which may include the loss of the privilege of bus transportation. During the first week of school, read over the Code of Behavior with your child(ren) so they understand the expectations of appropriate bus behavior. Remember, riding the school bus is a PRIVILEGE.
